This museum presents the rich culture and history of the Amsterdam Jewish community. An extensive renovation was completed in 2007. The exhibits review the community's history for a span of almost a thousand years, and clarify the tight bond between the Amsterdam community and the Portuguese and Spanish Jews, who were expelled, and of whom some settled down in Holland.
